NewHeart Project was born literally
out of a life-changing experience. On Dec.
1st of 2004, I had a supernatural encounter
with God, one which I could not deny and
one which changed the course of my life
forever...  |

|
|
During my Highschool
years, I began to battle with those questions which most
of us don't really bother to ask but yet, I believe encompass
the very essence of life. These were questions such as,
"Is there a God?", "What's the purpose
of life?", and "What happens after we die?"
It wasn't long until I found myself at a crossroads in
which I had a choice to either believe in something which
I didn't fully understand or rely on scientific theories
to try to explain that which logic couldn't. Soon I categorized
myself as being "agnostic" and after a while
I became an "atheist".
I was the kid everyone looked up to, I had straight A's,
was heavily involved in the school's leadership, I was
the ASB Secretary, and I had been both a fulltime college
and highschool student since my sophomore year. I had
everything going for me but yet, something was missing...
There was a void within me I couldn't fill with anything
[I tried filling that void with a lot of useless things].
On the outisde, I looked fine but inside I was dead and
hopeless.
The evening of Dec. 1st of 2004, I had come back home
from college and went into the restroom to wash my hands
and face [I am a bit of a germ freak]. After I was done
washing my face, I looked at my reflection in the mirror
and saw a side of me I had never seen before, I saw the
void laying within me and it was at that moment that I
heard someone's voice speaking to me. I also felt and
saw things which now I know, were of a Spiritual nature.
It was at that very moment, that I realized that God was
real and I decided to ask Him to forgive me for not believing
in Him and to take my life and do with it whatever He
wanted... and sure enough, He did just that... |
